Usual Suspects 2006 Shiraz- AustrailiaThe Hesketh 'Usual Suspects' Shiraz 2006 is an Australian red from the McLaren Vale region. It illustrates the French style of winemaking that co-ferments Shiraz (Syrah) with a small amount of the famous Rhone white grape, Viognier (4%). This traditional method allows for a more approachable plum/currant fruit, while still keeping a good acid structure. The bouquet offers floral notes riding above the purple fruit aromas. Nice balance, good fruit and spice in the finish.

Finca Antigua 2005 Tempernillo- SpainIntense cherry red color with elegant violet tones. Fine aroma. This is an elegant wine with nuances of black and red fruit and balsamic depths which reflect its slight aging. This wine is deliciously well bodied and the wood aging endows pleasant tannins which leave a good aftertaste in the mouth.

Foundry Vineyards 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon- California

This Cabernet has a touch of Merlot blended in to assist in a full palate experience. It has a bright nose with hints of ripe strawberry, currant, orange peel and dark chocolate. Light and smooth tannins with tarry oak, it is well balance and goes great with or without food.

Lot 205 Petite Syrah

The wine's rich, inky vermilion color is the first indicator of its fine density. Its aromas are keynoted on fruit -- blackberry, grape, and juicy cherry -- backed by notes of anise, coffee bean and toffee. On the palate, it is forward and lush, with an especially ripe fruit impression. It is the perfect match for any easygoing, hearty cooking, such as pizza, meat pastas, barbeque, or deli meats. This wine is user friendly enough to even enjoy on its own.
