The Bounty of Oregon

Pebblestone ’07 Viognier
Pebblestone’s 2007 Viognier represents the inaugural release of this variety with a limited bottling of 115 cases. The grapes used in this wine come from the Geneva clone of Viognier which produces a highly aromatic wine with floral aromas. These aromas are complemented by a rich, full texture with flavors of peaches and apricots, balanced with moderate acidity. Silver Medal, 2008 World Of Wine.

South Stage Cellars ’07 Sauvignon Blanc
This Sauvignon Blanc from South Stage cellars, located in Jacksonville, is part of a small production of estate grown wine. An Elegant wine with a fresh nose, light body and citrus undertones. Subtly steely.

A to Z ’07 Pinot Noir
The 2007 A to Z Pinot Noir is true to variety and vintage with bold aromatics and a palate to please. This wine has moderately-deep color and a tannin profile to match. The dark spices on the nose and palate complement the flavors you would expect from a good Oregon Pinot Noir: blackberry, raspberry, black cherry and earth. The oak profile is restrained and the natural acidity from the 2007 vintage gives the wine precision and tautness.

Anna Maria ‘03 Syrah
Syrah is Southern Oregon's Pinot noir: a grape that always shows terrrior (the soils and area where it is grown) and the specific variation of that vintage. The 2003 vintage was perfect for a "Rhone" style Syrah. Generally this means that this wine is more balanced and less "jammy," more earthy, meaty flavors and the fruit is not as sweet.

Cliff Creek ’03 Claret
An elegantly styled wine with bright fruit, the ’03 Claret is a blend of 42% Cabernet Franc, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot. It is a classic Bordeaux style wine, with aromas of wild mountain blackberries and the perfect thread of Cabernet Franc’s acidity and zest. Well-balanced with sweet tannins and complex layers.

Andrew Rich ’06 Late Harvest Gewurztraminer
“I hadn't tasted this wine much since it was bottled last spring, so when I brought a sip of it to my nose the other day I was astounded. Pure old-fashioned roses, just like the books say. Litchis? Perhaps, but certainly pineapple, guava, apricot, honey. The flavors are just as complex, the balance chronometer precise, the finish nearly endless. The eleventh(!) vintage of this wine may well be the best yet.” - Andrew Rich
