Tablas Creek ’05 Roussanne- Paso RoblesThis 2005 Roussanne is Tablas Creek's fourth national release of its 100% Roussanne. The wine is exuberantly and elegantly in character of the Roussanne grape, with honey, honeysuckle, and pear aromatics, lemon zest flavors, moderate acidity a rich, viscous mouth feel with just a hint of oak, and a long, lingering finish.
The Crusher Viognier 2007This pale straw colored wine bears a slight glint of steely blue. Intense aromas of jasmine and clove unfold with hints of apricot and peach. The palate has a luscious, nectar like texture, abundant with apricot grit and sweet white peach flavors, and a finish of star anise, vanilla and juicy Bartlett pear.
Tablas Creek Cotes de Tablas Blanc 2007Four estate-grown white varietals of Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Grenache Blanc blend in this style of French Cotes du Rhone white. It features intense aromas of stone fruits and minerals, flavors of apricot and Provençal herbs, rich texture, moderate acidity and a long peachy finish.
Cline ’06 Mourvedre Ancient Vines- Contra Costa CountyMourvedre is an exotic grape found in the Rhone and Provence regions of France, Spain and Australia. Once widely planted in California (where it is often called Mataro), today only a tiny amount exists and Cline owns many of the historic ancient vines that remain. Wild and grapey, showing zesty cherry and berry fruits, smooth in texture, with chocolate and a hint of oak, this juicy Ancient Vines Mourvedre is delicious now and will age well.
Estancia ’05 Shiraz- Central CoastFruit from two different regions work together to make this Central Coast Shiraz. They chose cool climate Monterey grapes for the exceptional texture they provide and Paso Robles grapes for their rich and spicy berry characters. Deep garnet in color; aromas of dark berries and plum open, followed by bright red plums, berries and earth. The palate is filled with dark ripe fruits, smoke and black pepper. 76% Shiraz, 18% Petite Sirah, 4% Grenache, 2% Mourvedre. This vibrant and delicious Shiraz (Syrah) is an approachable, pleasing wine.
